URSPL provides Guidance and Counsel
Unionville Recreational Slo Pitch League also known as the URSPL, began it operations in 1987-88 and, in 2012-13, we celebrated our 25th year as a non profit grassroots organization providing a recreation opportunity for adult residents of the City of Markham, both past and present.
URSPL provides Guidance and Counsel
At the request of Markham Parks and recreation, URSPL provides guidance and counsel regarding the future direction of all recreational activities within the city. Also, as an active member of the Markham Sport Council, URSPL supports their efforts to promote sport as an integral component of daily life. In 2008, Mayor Frank Scarpitti, acting on behalf of the Council, presented URSPL with an Award of Achievement recognizing our contribution of 30 years to the recreational needs of our citizens.
Over the years our league has contributed over $100,000 to local charities.
Provide and Foster
To provide, foster and promote recreational non contact hockey for all men who wish to play, regardless of race, colour, creed or ability.

To promote and protect the interests of its members.

To promote and regulate positive competition in league play.

To ensure that members meet standards of conduct expected of members of the URSPL.
Review
The continuing registration status of each member will be subject to the review of the Executive of the league.

Donating time to keep URSPL up to the standards we hold and
keeping the unruly divisions in order is no simple task.
